Poker is a card game played between two or more players and involving betting. The game\u2019s rules and variants vary depending on the game, but most involve a dealer, a table and at least two cards dealt to each player. The game also has a variety of other elements including probability, psychology and game theory. In addition to learning the rules of a particular game, poker players must understand how to read their opponents\u2019 actions and their tells. Depending on the variant of poker being played, one or more players are required to place an initial amount into the pot before any cards are dealt.
