Poker is a card game played between two or more players. The goal is to make the best five card hand from your personal cards (dealt to each player) and the five community cards on the table. The highest ranking hand wins the pot. Players bet based on probability, psychology, and strategy.<\/p>\n
If the person to your left raises, you can choose to either match their bet or call it. If you call it, you must put your own money into the pot. The amount you put in is called your “buy-in.” It can be any amount.<\/p>\n
The dealer begins by taking a pack of cards and dealing one card face up to the player to his left, continuing until a jack appears. The turn to deal and bet passes clockwise to the next player after each hand. The dealer may shuffle the deck before dealing each hand, and any player has the right to cut the cards.<\/p>\n
After each round, the best 5-card hand wins all the money that has been bet so far in the current pot. Sometimes there is a tie among the best hands, in which case the money is split between the players with the tied hands.<\/p>\n
